Miley Cyrus "like Madonna"

Director Brett Ratner has claimed that Miley Cyrus was as impressive as Madonna when he worked with her earlier this year. Ratner helped on the Cyrus video "7 things"

"She reminded me a lot of Madonna," he confirmed. "And I hate saying that, but what I mean is that like Madonna, she can be hanging out and laughing, and then you put the camera on her and it's like, 'Holy s***!'"

"It was the hardest video I've ever edited because every moment was great," he continued. "Every moment that she was on camera, she was amazing. She's got an incredible quality about her. Her instincts are great. She has great charisma and personality."

Cyrus recently revealed that she is hoping to emulate the Madonna by changing her image regularly.

Madonna hoping for trouble free split

Madonna has split from husbam Guy Ritchie because of pressures of combining family and career life. She will announce that her seven year marriage is over after her Sticky and Sweet world tour ends in november,

A source said: "The possibility that they might divorce has been the elephant in the room between Madonna and Guy for at least the last two years. Neither of them is shocked about it. They both knew it was coming.

"Now, for Madonna at least, it's about efficiency. For her, it's just something else on the agenda, a matter to be handled quickly and reasonably. Only recently, she told Guy: 'You know it's over and I know it's over. So, let's just do it in as civilised a way as we can.'

"I think she believed that if there was an understanding between them before the tour began, he wouldn't have as much right to complain about his and the children's lives being turned upside down, as he has done in the past.
