Coronation Street's Rosie - played by Helen Flanagan has stripped off on screen! In an attempt to seduce Tony Gordon (played by Gray O'Brien), Helen's character, Rosie Webster, strips to her underwear, a sexy corset and knickers, and waits for him in a hotel room.

Actress Helen Flanagan, 18, has played Rosie since she was 9-years-old but she wasn't worried about the underwear scenes.

She said: "Rosie is such a fun character to play. You never know what she will get up to next. Everyone was fantastic on set when we had to do these scenes and put me at ease.

"We had meetings about what Rosie would wear and it was decided that as she has access to all this amazing underwear she would go all out to try and seduce Tony.

"I knew that I had to act confidently because Rosie is confident and there was no point in being embarrassed. In the end I had great fun doing these scenes."

Lohan attacks 'homophobic' Sarah Palin

Lindsay Lohan has voiced her dislike for US vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin.

In a joint statement with rumoured girlfriend Samantha Ronson on her blog, Lohan questioned Palin's suitability for a prominent role in government.

"I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin," she wrote. "I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States only four years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor, which is probably all she is qualified to be."

Lohan also blasted Palin for her views on homosexuality: "Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?

"Is our country so divided that the Republicans' best hope is a narrow-minded, media-obsessed homophobe?"

Peaches, Drummey get matching tattoos

Peaches Geldof has had her husband's name tattooed on her wrist.

The 19-year-old revealed the new ink work at Topshop's catwalk show for London Fashion Week.

The Mirror reports that Max Drummey also has his wife's name etched on his wrist.

Geldof married the Chester French drummer in Las Vegas last month.

Gallagher orders SpongeBob painting

Oasis star Liam Gallagher has ordered an "Andy Warhol style" painting of children's cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants for his living room. which will be placed next to paintings of Elvis and Jimi Hendrix.

Explaining his fascination with the Nickelodeon character, Liam told Q magazine: "SpongeBob is a f****** mental, full-of-beans, enthusiastic sponge that lives at the bottom of the sea in Bikini Bottom. He’s mad for it.

"He's got a mate called Squidward, who plays the clarinet and is grumpy like our kid Noel."

Jennifer Aniston "looks desperate"

Project Runway host Tim Gunn has accused Jennifer Aniston of looking "desperate", and that Aniston's wardrobe gives her the appearance of being "high-maintenance".

The fashion expert said!: "Sometimes I think she has 'desperate character' written on her. The clothes we wear send a message. And I think that's the message - I don't think that's her intention, though.

"She's a gorgeous woman and she understands her fashion. I can't help but think that she's pretty high-maintenance."

Miley Cyrus "like Madonna"

Director Brett Ratner has claimed that Miley Cyrus was as impressive as Madonna when he worked with her earlier this year. Ratner helped on the Cyrus video "7 things"

"She reminded me a lot of Madonna," he confirmed. "And I hate saying that, but what I mean is that like Madonna, she can be hanging out and laughing, and then you put the camera on her and it's like, 'Holy s***!'"

"It was the hardest video I've ever edited because every moment was great," he continued. "Every moment that she was on camera, she was amazing. She's got an incredible quality about her. Her instincts are great. She has great charisma and personality."

Cyrus recently revealed that she is hoping to emulate the Madonna by changing her image regularly.
