Elizabeth Hurley -led the glamour stakes at millionaire singer Elton John's 10th annual White Tie and Tiara Ball at his Windsor home last night.

Liz sparkled in her diamond tiara and a stunning aquamarine coloured strapless gown as she left her west London home to attend the party with dapper-looking husband Arun Nayar.

Held at Sir Elton and David Furnish's £20 million Windsor home it has become the society event of the summer attracting A list celebrities from far and wide.

Adele lives Colin Firth

British singer Adele has confessed that she has a crush on 47-year-old actor Colin Firth. The popstar, 19, also said that she is a fan of Justin Timberlake.

"Colin Firth's my ideal man. I think it's because he's Darcy in Bridget Jones. He's charming and very British.

"I want a British husband but I would go with Justin [Timberlake] if he wanted me."

On her weight Adele said: "I'm overweight but I don't care.

"The British press makes slight remarks [about my weight] sometimes. Blogs mainly. But I don't care what some 12-year-old thinks in his bedroom."

Paris donates to children's hospital

Paris Hilton has donated an "extremely generous" sum of money to a Los Angeles children's hospital. The Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, which is expected to open in 2010, would not specify the amount the socialite donated.

Hilton said in a statement:

"The children I have met through my involvement with Children's Hospital have truly touched my heart.

"I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses."

Thurman engaged to Arpad Busson

Uma Thurman is engaged to Swiss boyfriend Arpad "Arki" Busson, and has received an eight-plus carat engagement ring from him!

"It's the most beautiful piece I've ever seen," a source is quoted as saying. "Arki did a wonderful job."

Thurman was previously married to Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke, with whom she has two children. Busson, a hedge fund financier, has two sons from a relationship with supermodel Elle Macpherson.

Moss bought 120 toilet rolls.....!

Kate Moss has been bought 120 toilet rolls by boyfriend (Kills rocker) Jamie Hince so she she will be comfy as Glastonbury.

"Jamie had organisers ship in extra supplies of recycled Nouvelle to keep his band and girlfriend comfortable," a friend said.

"Hospitality had no idea what he is going to do with 120 toilet rolls, but they agreed. At least he and Kate know they won't run out."

Madonna hoping for trouble free split

Madonna has split from husbam Guy Ritchie because of pressures of combining family and career life. She will announce that her seven year marriage is over after her Sticky and Sweet world tour ends in november,

A source said: "The possibility that they might divorce has been the elephant in the room between Madonna and Guy for at least the last two years. Neither of them is shocked about it. They both knew it was coming.

"Now, for Madonna at least, it's about efficiency. For her, it's just something else on the agenda, a matter to be handled quickly and reasonably. Only recently, she told Guy: 'You know it's over and I know it's over. So, let's just do it in as civilised a way as we can.'

"I think she believed that if there was an understanding between them before the tour began, he wouldn't have as much right to complain about his and the children's lives being turned upside down, as he has done in the past.

Aguilera still dirrty

Christina Aguilera proved to still be a dirrty girl as she put on a steamy show at LA's LAX nightclub. She danced seductively with a female companion in the exclusive nightclub as her husband Jordan Bratman looked on.

Dressed in a blue mini dress with a leather jacket the blonde singer and her companion put on a sexy show by dancing close to each other similar to the performance Christina put on in her 2002 video for her number one song Dirrty.

The couple are already planning to expand their family. Asked recently if she wanted more children, Christina replied: "Absolutely . I can't tell you when, as I'm not planning things like that. Maybe around the next tour."

Christina's Back to Basics world tour was interrupted in August due to an unspecified illness.

Her pregnancy was later announced by socialite Paris Hilton to a nightclub crowd, before Aguilera herself confirmed the news.
